About The Position

This position performs the duties of a Phlebotomist Tech II, including routine blood collection from patients of all age groups, including neonates and infants. The role also requires knowledge and skills to work in the Laboratory’s specimen processing and receiving area, provide age-appropriate care in the assigned area, and register patients and specimens.

Requirements

• At least one year of phlebotomy experience with all age groups.
• Current, active phlebotomy certification from a national agency.
• High school diploma, GED, or certificate.
• Undergo background screening through the Florida Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse, as required for individuals providing care to vulnerable populations.

• Demonstrated ability to handle customer service questions and communicate effectively.
• Demonstrated knowledge of relevant computer skills for patient identification systems and specimen processing functions.
• Valid driver's license.
