About The Position
The Phlebotomy Technician 1 obtains blood specimens from patients and delivers them to the laboratory or sends them through the transport system. The role requires correctly identifying patients and specimens.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize work, and change tasks frequently and quickly.
- Ability to maintain absolute confidentiality when handling patient information.
- Absolute integrity and accuracy in the patient identification process.
Nice To Haves
- Completion of an accredited phlebotomy program.
- Previous work experience.
