About The Position

Performs repetitive and complex laboratory analyses and correlates and interprets laboratory data using knowledge of physiological conditions that affect test results. Designs, evaluates, and implements new methods. Supervises a laboratory section or shift when the supervisor is absent. The position is PRN and scheduled for days at Lincoln Medical Center in Fayetteville, Tennessee.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in biology, chemistry, medical technology, or physical science, or a degree meeting coursework and laboratory requirements.
• State of Tennessee license as a Medical Laboratory Technologist.
• National certification through ASCP or AMT.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and change tasks frequently and quickly.
• Ability to maintain absolute confidentiality when handling patient information.
• Absolute integrity and accuracy in identifying and reporting numbers and names.
• Ability to make decisions concerning resources, technical problems, or other departmental needs with minimal direction.

Nice To Haves

• Four or more years of experience as a medical technologist in the laboratory section or shift is strongly preferred.
