About The Position

Performs high-volume, repetitive laboratory tests using standard procedures and identifies causes of technical and instrumental problems. This is a temporary assignment at Lincoln Medical Center.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree in biology, chemistry, medical technology, or physical science, or a degree that meets coursework and laboratory requirements.
• State of Tennessee license as a Medical Laboratory Technician.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize and change tasks frequently and quickly.
• Ability to maintain absolute confidentiality in handling patient information.
• Absolute integrity and accuracy in identifying and reporting numbers and names.
• Ability to make decisions concerning resources, technical problems, or other departmental needs with minimal direction.

Nice To Haves

• Experience as a generalist or in the designated discipline is strongly preferred.
• National certification (ASCP or AMT).
