About The Position

Labcorp is seeking a part-time Phlebotomist to work in a client office in Hartford, Kentucky. The Phlebotomist will provide customer service, perform specimen collections, and serve as a representative of the company. The position also offers opportunities for continued growth within the organization. The schedule is Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Travel to additional sites may be needed, and overtime may be required as needed. Phlebotomists may be eligible for a quarterly performance-based bonus through the PST Incentive Plan.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of phlebotomy experience.
• Proven ability to provide exceptional customer service.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
• Comfort working under minimal supervision.
• Reliable transportation.
• Ability to work overtime as needed.
• Ability to pass a standardized color blindness test.

Nice To Haves

• At least 2 years of phlebotomy experience in an outpatient laboratory environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for patients of all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, and other purposes.
• Enter patient information accurately and promptly.
• Process billing information and collect payments as necessary.
• Prepare collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to patients.
• Perform administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.
