About The Position

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to work in a Patient Service Center. The role provides customer service, performs specimen collections, and represents the company to patients. The position is scheduled for 20 hours per week, Monday through Thursday from 7:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., with rotating Saturdays. Travel to additional sites may be needed. Eligible employees may participate in the PST Incentive Plan, which pays a quarterly bonus based on performance metrics.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification, completion of a phlebotomy training program, or at least 3 months of experience as a phlebotomist. In lieu of work experience, certification or training must be from an accredited agency.
• Ability to pass a standardized color blindness test.
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed.
• Exceptional customer service skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
• Comfort working under minimal supervision.
• Reliable transportation.

Nice To Haves

• One year or more of phlebotomy experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, and other purposes.
• Enter patient information accurately and in a timely manner.
• Process billing information and collect payments when required.
• Prepare collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to patients.
• Perform administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
