About The Position

Labcorp is seeking a part-time Phlebotomist to join its team in Cumberland, Maine, working at a Patient Service Center or client office. The role involves collecting and processing specimens, handling patient and billing information, and providing exceptional customer service. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., for three hours per day. The position may require travel to additional sites and overtime as needed. Pay is $18.00 to $26.00 per hour. Eligible candidates may receive a $3,000 sign-on bonus and may participate in a quarterly performance-based PST Incentive Plan. Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification, completion of a phlebotomy training program, or at least six months of phlebotomy experience.
• If qualifying through certification or a training program instead of work experience, the program or certification must be from an accredited agency.
• Proven track record of providing exceptional customer service.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
• Comfort working under minimal supervision.
• Reliable transportation.
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed.
• Ability to pass a standardized color blindness test.

Nice To Haves

• Current or previous Labcorp experience.
• At least one year of phlebotomy experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for patients of all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, and other testing.
• Enter patient information accurately and in a timely manner.
• Process billing information and collect payments when required.
• Prepare collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to patients.
• Perform administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.
