About The Position

This role involves performing phlebotomy duties, primarily in an inpatient setting. The phlebotomist will be responsible for venipuncture and capillary draws, and will also be trained to perform EKGs for PM and overnight shifts. Experience with charting systems like Sunquest or Epic is required. The ideal candidate will have excellent customer service skills and be comfortable with HIS/LIS computer systems.

Requirements

• High school diploma.
• Minimum 1-2 years of experience.
• Inpatient experience required.
• Charting experience required (Sunquest preferred, Epic preferred).
• Proficient in venipuncture and capillary draws.
• Proficient in blood draw technique in general.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Comfortable with HIS/LIS computer systems.
• Attention to detail.
• AHA BLS certification.

Nice To Haves

• Certified phlebotomist preferred.
• Arterial blood collections experience beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Perform venipuncture and capillary draws.
• Train to perform EKGs on inpatients during PM and overnight shifts.
• Perform EKG tests and provide reports to RNs or providers.
• Chart patient information using HIS/LIS computer systems.
• Provide excellent customer service.
