About The Position

The Patient Services Representative I (PSR I) represents the company to patients and collects quality blood samples for laboratory testing. The role prepares specimens while following established practices and procedures, explains procedures to patients, and draws blood skillfully, safely, and accurately. It involves direct patient contact and requires creating an atmosphere of trust and confidence, along with sensitivity to confidentiality and accuracy of patient information. This is an onsite, four-month contract in Clearwater, Florida. The schedule is 40 hours per week, working every Saturday with a day off during the week. Hours are 6:00 AM–3:00 PM on weekdays and 7:00 AM–12:00 PM on Saturdays. Overtime is expected. Applicants must be authorized to work for any U.S. employer; visa sponsorship is unavailable.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
At least 6 months of experience.
Ability to provide quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to work independently with minimal onsite supervision.
Excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric patients.
Flexibility and availability based on staffing needs, including weekends, holidays, on-call work, and overtime.
Keyboard and data-entry experience.
Authorization to work for any employer in the United States; the employer cannot sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment visa.

Nice To Haves

Customer service experience in a retail or service environment.
Medical assistant or paramedic training.
Phlebotomy certification; required in California, Nevada, and Washington.
One year of phlebotomy experience.
