About The Position

The Patient Services Representative I (PSR I) represents the organization to patients who present for health routines or medical insights. The PSR I draws quality blood samples from patients and prepares specimens for laboratory testing following established practices and procedures. The candidate will have direct contact with patients, creating an atmosphere of trust and confidence while explaining procedures and drawing blood specimens in a skillful, safe, and accurate manner. The candidate will focus on process excellence, patient privacy, confidentiality, and data accuracy.

Requirements

• Ability to provide quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work independently with minimal on-site supervision.
• Excellent phlebotomy skills including pediatric and geriatric care.
• Flexibility and availability based on staffing needs, including weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime.
• Reliable transportation to travel to and from the worksite consistently.
• Availability to work scheduled hours, arrive on time, and remain for the full shift.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Keyboard and data entry experience is required.

Nice To Haves

• Medical training such as Medical Assistant or Paramedic training is preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred (required in California, Nevada, and Washington).
• 1+ years of phlebotomy experience preferred.
• Customer service experience in a retail or service environment is preferred.

• Perform daily activities accurately and on time under the direction of the area supervisor.
• Maintain a safe and professional environment.
• Perform both forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing duties following established practices and procedures with confidence.
• Maintain required records and documentation.
• Demonstrate organizational commitment and promote a positive image to patients, clients, employees, and the public in general.
