About The Position

NiteLines USA is seeking a certified Phlebotomist to provide laboratory services at VA Bedford, 200 Springs Rd, Bedford, MA 01730. The role involves collecting patient specimens and supporting laboratory operations in accordance with recognized standards of care, safety and infection-control requirements, and HIPAA confidentiality guidelines.

The position pays $35.00 per hour as a 1099 role. The current schedule is 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., 40 hours per week. The provider may be asked to work 8-hour shifts between 6:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. according to facility needs. Overtime and holiday shifts may be required; on-call and standby duties are not required.

Requirements

• Three years of recent phlebotomy experience.
• Certification as a Phlebotomist.
• ACLS certification.
• BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform venipuncture and collect specimens from patients.
• Prepare labels for specimen processing.
• Establish and follow safety and infection-control standards of care.
• Provide laboratory services consistent with the standard of care recognized by ASCP, the Joint Commission, AHA, CAP, and VHA.
• Maintain patient medical records and adhere to HIPAA confidentiality guidelines.
