About The Position

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to join its team in Statesboro, Georgia, working in a Patient Service Center or client office. The role provides exceptional customer service, performs skilled specimen collections, and serves as a representative of the company. The casual position is scheduled Monday through Friday, with hours varying between 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. Employees regularly scheduled for less than 20 hours per week, as well as casual employees, are eligible to participate in the 401(k) Plan. Phlebotomists may be eligible for a quarterly performance-based bonus through the PST Incentive Plan.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification, completion of a training program, or at least 3 months of phlebotomy experience. If relying on certification or training in lieu of work experience, it must be from an accredited agency.
• Demonstrated ability to provide exceptional customer service.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Comfort working under minimal supervision.
• Reliable transportation.
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed.
• Ability to pass a standardized color blindness test.

Nice To Haves

• At least 6 months of phlebotomy experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections using venipuncture and capillary techniques for patients of all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, and other purposes.
• Enter patient information accurately and in a timely manner.
• Process billing information and collect payments.
• Prepare collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to patients.
• Perform administrative and clerical duties as needed.
