About The Position

Labcorp is seeking a Casual Phlebotomist in Savannah, Georgia, to work in a Patient Service Center or client office. The role involves providing exceptional customer service, performing specimen collections, and serving as a face of the company. The position offers opportunities for growth within the organization.

The schedule is Monday through Friday, with work hours falling between 6:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m., plus rotating weekends. Hours may vary because this is a casual position. Travel to additional sites may be required. Casual employees are eligible to participate in the 401(k) Plan. Phlebotomists may also be eligible for a quarterly performance-based PST Incentive Plan bonus. Float assignments include an additional $1.00 per hour plus mileage reimbursement.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification, completion of a phlebotomy training program, or at least three months of phlebotomy experience.
• Proven track record of providing exceptional customer service.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
• Comfort working under minimal supervision.
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed.
• Ability to pass a standardized color blindness test.
• Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and reliable transportation.
• Must be at least 21 years old.

Nice To Haves

• At least one year of phlebotomy experience.
• Phlebotomy certification or completion of a training program from an accredited agency, or previous phlebotomy experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for patients of all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, and other purposes.
• Enter patient information accurately and promptly.
• Process billing information and collect payments.
• Prepare collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to patients.
• Perform administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.
