About The Position

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to work in a Patient Service Center or client office in Greer, South Carolina. The role provides customer service, performs skilled specimen collections, and represents Labcorp to patients. The schedule is Monday through Friday, with work hours falling between 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m.; hours may vary because this is a casual position. The role offers opportunities for continued growth within the organization.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification, completion of a phlebotomy training program, or at least 3 months of phlebotomy experience.
• When substituting certification or a completed training program for work experience, the certification or program must be from an accredited agency.
• Proven track record of providing exceptional customer service.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
• Comfort working under minimal supervision.
• Reliable transportation.
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed.
• Ability to pass a standardized color blindness test.

Nice To Haves

• At least 6 months of experience as a phlebotomist.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for patients of all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, and other testing.
• Enter patient information accurately and in a timely manner.
• Process billing information and collect payments.
• Prepare collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to patients.
• Perform administrative and clerical duties as needed.
