About The Position
The Phlebotomist provides patient care and customer-focused service in a clinical laboratory setting in Richardson, Texas. The role performs venipuncture on patients of all ages, collects and prepares non-blood specimens, and ensures specimens are properly processed and labeled and that tests are correctly ordered. The position supports safety, compliance, and quality control and requires appropriate handling and confidentiality of Protected Health Information (PHI). Employees receive training on safeguards and are expected to access PHI only as needed to perform their job duties and to follow applicable privacy and security standards. This is a full-time, benefit-eligible position with a 40-hour scheduled workweek on the first shift. Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous phlebotomy training or experience.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic computer and data entry skills.
Nice To Haves
- Two or more years of laboratory training or experience in specimen collection and processing.
- Certification from the American Society of Phlebotomy Technicians.
