About The Position
Clinical Pathology Laboratories, Inc. is hiring a full-time Phlebotomist in Richardson, Texas. The role is part of Laboratory Operations and is scheduled for 40 hours per week on the first shift. The position supports patient care and clinical laboratory services by collecting blood and other specimens and ensuring that specimens are properly processed and documented. The Phlebotomist provides customer-focused service to patients of all ages, performs venipuncture, and collects and prepares non-blood specimens. The role also involves specimen processing, labeling, and test ordering, while maintaining safety, compliance, quality control, and the confidentiality of protected health information. Employees receive training on PHI safeguards and are expected to access such information only as needed to perform their duties. Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous phlebotomy training or experience.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic computer and data entry skills.
Nice To Haves
- Two or more years of laboratory training or experience in specimen collection and processing.
- Certification from the American Society of Phlebotomy Technicians.
