About The Position

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to join its team in Edison, New Jersey. The role may be based in a Patient Service Center or a client office, where the Phlebotomist provides skilled specimen collection and exceptional customer service as a representative of the company. The position also offers opportunities for continued growth within the organization.

This is a casual/PRN position with hours as needed. Start and end times vary within 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Monday through Friday and 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. Travel to additional sites may be needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of experience as a phlebotomist.
• Proven track record of providing exceptional customer service.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
• Comfort working under minimal supervision.
• Reliable transportation.
• Ability to work overtime as needed.
• Ability to pass a standardized color blindness test.

Nice To Haves

• At least 2 years of experience as a phlebotomist.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for patients of all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, and other testing.
• Enter patient information accurately and promptly.
• Process billing information and collect payments as necessary.
• Prepare collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to patients.
• Perform administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.
