About The Position

Labcorp is seeking a per diem Phlebotomist to work in a hospital inpatient laboratory at 550 17th Ave in Seattle, Washington. The role performs skilled specimen collection, provides customer service to patients, and represents the company. The schedule is flexible, with hours listed as 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Opportunities for continued growth within the organization are available.

Requirements

• Hold a Washington State-issued Phlebotomy license (MA-P). An application for a phlebotomy license filed with the Washington Department of Health at the time of hire may satisfy the license requirement.
• Be able to pass a standardized color blindness test.
• Be flexible to work overtime as needed.
• Demonstrate exceptional customer service and strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Be able to work independently or in a team environment and comfortably work under minimal supervision.

• One or more years of experience as a phlebotomist.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for patients of all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, and other purposes.
• Enter patient information accurately and promptly.
• Process billing information and collect payments when required.
• Prepare collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to patients.
• Perform administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
