About The Position
The Phlebotomist performs venipuncture and related procedures in accordance with hospital and department philosophy, policies, and procedures. Under the direct supervision of the Phlebotomy Team Lead, this position serves as a departmental ambassador and provides excellent customer service. The role is based at Adena Main Lab in Chillicothe and is full-time on the day shift, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The position does not have access to funds.
Requirements
- Certification as a Phlebotomy Technician (PBT/CPT), as outlined in the AHS Laboratory SOP, Certification Pathway and Certification.
- Excellent customer relations skills.
- Mathematical, verbal, and written skills at the high school level.
Nice To Haves
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and/or Electrocardiogram (EKG) certification as needed depending on the position; hospital/laboratory phlebotomists are not required to have CPR/EKG.
