About The Position

Clinical Pathology Laboratories, Inc., part of Sonic Healthcare USA, is hiring a full-time Phlebotomist in South Austin. This role is scheduled for 30 hours per week during first shift. The position focuses on patient care, specimen collection and preparation, and accurate specimen processing in a clinical laboratory setting.

The role has routine access to Protected Health Information (PHI). Employees will be trained on appropriate safeguards and must maintain strict confidentiality, follow applicable privacy and security standards, and access PHI only when needed to perform their job duties. Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous phlebotomy training or experience.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic computer and data entry skills.

Nice To Haves

• Two or more years of laboratory training or experience in specimen collection and processing.
• Certification from the American Society of Phlebotomy Technicians.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional patient care and customer-focused service.
• Perform venipuncture on patients of all ages.
• Collect and prepare non-blood specimens.
• Ensure proper specimen processing, labeling, and test ordering.
• Champion safety, compliance, and quality control.
• Maintain strict confidentiality and follow privacy and security standards when accessing Protected Health Information.
