About The Position

Labcorp is hiring a full-time phlebotomist to work in a Patient Service Center or client office. The role involves providing exceptional customer service, collecting specimens, and serving as a representative of the company. The position offers opportunities for continued growth within the organization and is eligible for benefits. A quarterly incentive bonus program is offered. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with additional hours and rotating Saturdays as needed. The position is based at 275 Rainier Ave S, Renton, Washington, and may require travel to additional sites.

Requirements

Be fully vaccinated against COVID-19, unless qualifying for a medical or religious accommodation as permitted by applicable law.
Have a valid Washington-issued Phlebotomy License or an application for a Phlebotomy License filed with the Washington Department of Health at the time of hire.
Have previous experience as a phlebotomist.
Demonstrate a track record of exceptional customer service.
Have strong written and verbal communication skills.
Be able to work independently or in a team environment.
Be comfortable working under minimal supervision.
Have reliable transportation and a clean driving record, if applicable.
Be flexible to work overtime as needed.
Be able to pass a standardized color blindness test.

Responsibilities

Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for patients of all age groups.
Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, and other testing.
Enter patient information accurately and in a timely manner.
Process billing information and collect payments when required.
Prepare collected specimens for testing and analysis.
Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
Provide superior customer service to patients.
Perform administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
Travel to additional sites when needed.
