About The Position

Labcorp is seeking a phlebotomist to work in a Patient Service Center or client office. The role provides exceptional customer service, performs skilled specimen collections, and serves as a representative of the company. The position offers opportunities for continued growth within the organization and is benefits eligible. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with additional hours and rotating Saturdays as needed. The work location is 275 Rainier Ave S, Renton, WA 98057.

Requirements

Be fully vaccinated against COVID-19, subject to applicable law and potential medical or religious accommodations.
Have a valid Washington-issued Phlebotomy License or have an application for a Phlebotomy License filed with the Washington Department of Health at the time of hire.
Have previous experience as a phlebotomist.
Demonstrate a proven track record of exceptional customer service.
Have strong written and verbal communication skills.
Be able to work independently or in a team environment.
Be comfortable working under minimal supervision.
Have reliable transportation and a clean driving record, if applicable.
Be flexible to work overtime as needed.
Be able to pass a standardized color blindness test.

Responsibilities

Perform blood collections for all age groups using venipuncture and capillary techniques.
Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, and other purposes.
Enter patient information accurately and promptly.
Process billing information and collect payments when required.
Prepare collected specimens for testing and analysis.
Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
Provide superior customer service to patients.
Perform administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
Travel to additional sites when needed.
