About The Position

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to work in a Patient Service Center or client office in Parsippany, New Jersey. The Phlebotomist provides customer service, performs specimen collections, and represents the company to patients. The role includes opportunities for continued growth within the organization. The schedule is Monday through Thursday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with rotating Saturdays from 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Travel to additional sites may be needed. The pay range is $17.75–$24 per hour. Eligible employees may participate in the PST Incentive Plan, which provides a quarterly bonus based on performance metrics.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification or completion of a phlebotomy training program; in lieu of work experience, the certification or program must be from an accredited agency.
• Proven track record of exceptional customer service.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment and with minimal supervision.
• Reliable transportation.
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed.
• Ability to pass a standardized color blindness test.

Nice To Haves

• Six months or more of phlebotomy experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for patients of all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, and other purposes.
• Enter patient information accurately and promptly.
• Process billing information and collect payments as necessary.
• Prepare collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to patients.
• Perform administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.
