About The Position
HJ Staffing is seeking a qualified Phlebotomist to perform blood draws and standard laboratory technician duties in accordance with Texas rules and regulations. The role involves working compassionately and effectively with individuals with mental illness, intellectual or developmental disabilities, chemical dependency, and social or physical disorders. The phlebotomist must follow the rules, regulations, and policies of HHSC, Austin State Hospital, and HJ Staffing, including leave and attendance policies. The role also includes completing required daily reports, laboratory documentation, and assigned administrative duties. The listed work location is 901 E 5th St, Cleveland, TX 77327. Applicants must not have any relation with anyone in the TDCJ or state penitentiary.
Requirements
- Must hold and maintain current, active state or national phlebotomy or laboratory technician certifications throughout the assignment.
- Strong communication skills.
- Reliability and ability to maintain composure in a mental health care facility setting.
- Must not have any relation with anyone in the TDCJ or state penitentiary.
Nice To Haves
- One year of phlebotomy or blood-drawing experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
