About The Position

An exciting career awaits you at Pomerene Hospital. We are looking for a part-time Phlebotomist to join our team. Working hours are between 5:00AM - 7:30PM. Requirements

High School Diploma/GED- Required.
BLS Certification- Required (May be completed during orientation period).
Six to eight weeks of on-the-job training (orientation period).

Nice To Haves

PBT (ASCP) or Equivalent- Preferred.
1-3 Years of Experience as a Phlebotomist in a Healthcare/Medical Setting- Preferred.

Responsibilities

Ordering lab tests in CPSI
Drawing blood
Retrieving lab specimens from throughout outside facilities
Clerical duties
Maintaining supplies in draw stations
Moves throughout the facility, appropriately assists in emergency drills and performs the physical requirements needed to deliver services as assigned.
Performs phlebotomy responsibilities of this position in the hospital setting according to hospital and department policy and procedure.
Maintains a positive relationship with customers and develops a positive perception of the hospital.
Follows safety protocols according to established department policy and procedure.
Demonstrates commitment to Pomerene Hospital’s Values.
Delivers service that builds customer satisfaction in all facilities.
Actively supports and encourages Primary Support Person (PSP) / Family involvement in patient's care, with consent of patient. Includes PSP / family member in explanations/discussions of testing, procedures and discharge instructions when applicable.
