About The Position
Avita Health System is seeking a Phlebotomist for its Laboratory Department at Avita Bucyrus Hospital. Under the supervision of the Laboratory Manager or designee, the Phlebotomist maintains laboratory equipment as necessary, assists with departmental clerical duties, supports technicians and technologists as needed, performs phlebotomy procedures, and processes other specimens. The role is casual and as needed.
Requirements
- Current BLS certification.
- Adhere to applicable state, federal, and accrediting-body regulatory requirements.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience working as a Phlebotomist.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Graduate of a certified phlebotomy program.
- Phlebotomy certification.
Responsibilities
- Maintain laboratory equipment as necessary.
- Assist with clerical duties in the department.
- Assist technicians and technologists as needed.
- Perform phlebotomy procedures.
- Process other specimens.
