About The Position

Pathology Laboratories, Inc., part of Sonic Healthcare USA, is hiring a part-time Phlebotomist at Gastro Associates in Canton, Ohio. The position is scheduled Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., for 21 hours per week, and is not benefit eligible. The role focuses on patient care and customer service, collecting blood and non-blood specimens, and ensuring specimens are properly processed, labeled, and ordered. Employees are expected to champion safety, compliance, and quality control. The role has routine access to Protected Health Information (PHI); employees will receive training on safeguards and must maintain confidentiality and access PHI only when required for their duties. Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous phlebotomy training or experience.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic computer and data entry skills.

Nice To Haves

• Two or more years of laboratory training or experience in specimen collection and processing.
• Certification from the American Society of Phlebotomy Technicians.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional patient care and customer-focused service.
• Perform venipuncture on patients of all ages.
• Collect and prepare non-blood specimens.
• Ensure proper specimen processing, labeling, and test ordering.
• Champion safety, compliance, and quality control.
• Maintain strict confidentiality of Protected Health Information and access it only when required to fulfill job duties.
