About The Position

Pathology Laboratories, Inc., part of Sonic Healthcare USA, is hiring a part-time Phlebotomist at Gastro Associates in Canton, Ohio. The role is scheduled Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., for 21 hours per week, and is not benefit eligible. The Phlebotomist provides patient care and customer-focused service, performs venipuncture on patients of all ages, collects and prepares non-blood specimens, and ensures specimens are properly processed and labeled and tests are properly ordered. The role also supports safety, compliance, and quality control. The position requires routine access to protected health information. Employees will receive training in reasonable safeguards and must maintain strict confidentiality, comply with applicable privacy and security standards, and access PHI only as needed to perform job duties. Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous phlebotomy training or experience.
Excellent communication skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Basic computer and data entry skills.

Nice To Haves

Two or more years of laboratory training or experience in specimen collection and processing.
Certification from the American Society of Phlebotomy Technicians.
