About The Position

Grifols is a global healthcare company focused on improving health and well-being worldwide. The Phlebotomist works in a plasma center and helps ensure donors are comfortable and satisfied while supporting donor safety and product quality. Training is provided. The role involves exposure to biological fluids and infectious organisms, electrical office and laboratory equipment, and extreme cold in a plasma freezer. Required personal protective equipment includes protective eyewear, garments, gloves, and cold-weather gear. The work includes prolonged standing and walking, frequent hand and foot movements, bending and twisting, and occasional squatting, crouching, or sitting on the heels. The position requires hearing acuity, visual abilities, and the ability to understand and follow spoken and written instructions and communicate sensitive information to diverse groups.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Superior customer service standards.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule.
• Obtain required state licensures or certifications where applicable.
• Ability to comprehend and follow instructions and complete assigned tasks.
• Ability to listen to and understand spoken information and follow oral and written instructions.

Responsibilities

• Assist in determining the suitability of donors.
• Establish rapport with donors to support customer satisfaction while maintaining donor confidentiality.
• Respond to and assist with handling donor reactions.
• Monitor donors and equipment to support donor health and product quality.
• Set up, disconnect, and operate automated plasmapheresis machines.
• Disconnect and dispose of contaminated disposable equipment.
