Phlebotomist: 28 Hours Per Week (PM/Midnights)
About The Position
Franciscan Health is seeking a dedicated Phlebotomist to join their team. This role is crucial for collecting blood specimens, performing laboratory office duties, and processing laboratory specimens. The position involves registering patients, accurately entering data into the computer system, accessioning specimens, answering phones, and processing paperwork. Specimen processing includes preparing samples for testing and shipment to central or reference laboratories. The role may also involve performing waived and specified non-waived Point-of-Care (POC) tests, acting as a driver if required, and participating in on-call rotations.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Previous phlebotomy experience and/or training is required
- Valid driver’s license and a good driving record

- Knowledge of medical terminology
- May be required to travel/drive to other locations
Responsibilities

- Performing limited waived and specified non-waived POC tests as authorized by the Laboratory Director
- Acting as a driver and participating in the on-call rotation (as required)
