Phlebotomist - Mountanview, Purceville, VA
About The Position
The Phlebotomist provides patient care and customer-focused service at Sunrise Medical Laboratories’ Purcellville, Virginia location. The role performs venipuncture on patients of all ages, collects and prepares non-blood specimens, and ensures specimens are properly processed and labeled and that tests are correctly ordered. The position also supports safety, compliance, and quality control. This is a benefit-eligible, full-time position scheduled Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with 40 scheduled hours per week on the first shift. The role has routine access to Protected Health Information (PHI). Employees will receive training on reasonable safeguards and must maintain strict confidentiality, follow applicable privacy and security standards, and access PHI only as needed to fulfill job duties.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous phlebotomy training or experience.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic computer and data-entry skills.
Nice To Haves
- At least 2 years of laboratory training or experience in specimen collection and processing.
- Certification from the American Society of Phlebotomy Technicians.
