Phlebotomist - Mountainvew, Purceville, VA
About The Position
The Phlebotomist provides patient care and customer-focused service while collecting and processing specimens in a clinical laboratory setting. The role performs venipuncture on patients of all ages, collects and prepares non-blood specimens, and ensures specimens are processed and labeled correctly and tests are ordered appropriately. The position also supports safety, compliance, and quality control. The role is based at 205 East Hirst Road in Purcellville, Virginia, and is scheduled Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. It is full-time and benefit-eligible, with 40 scheduled weekly hours on the first shift. The position has routine access to Protected Health Information (PHI); employees must maintain strict confidentiality and follow applicable privacy and security standards, accessing PHI only as needed to perform their job duties.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous phlebotomy training or experience.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic computer and data-entry skills.
Nice To Haves
- Two or more years of laboratory training or experience in specimen collection and processing.
- Certification from the American Society of Phlebotomy Technicians.
