About The Position

LifeSouth Community Blood Centers is seeking an enthusiastic, team-oriented, and goal-driven Phlebotomist in Madison, Alabama. The role helps provide lifesaving blood products to local hospitals while creating a positive, supportive experience for donors throughout the donation process. The position involves blood collection, donor care, eligibility and safety procedures, accurate documentation, and support for donor recruitment, scheduling, and mobile blood drives. This is a full-time position with a starting salary range of $16.50–$18.15 per hour. The schedule is varied and may include nights, weekends, and holidays. A criminal background check and drug screen are required after a conditional offer of hire.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Strong communication and customer service skills.
Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Basic computer proficiency.
Valid driver’s license.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Nice To Haves

Previous customer service experience is preferred.
CDL holders are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

Perform blood collections and donor care procedures.
Ensure donor eligibility and maintain safety standards.
Provide excellent customer service throughout the donation process.
Accurately document donor information.
Support donor recruitment and scheduling efforts.
Assist with mobile blood drive operations as needed.
Work alongside a team dedicated to serving the community.
