About The Position

Continental Services Group is looking for ambitious, hard-working and detail-oriented individuals to join our team as a Phlebotomist at our Blood Bank. Your job would be to help process blood donors visiting our blood bank. EMT or LPN certification is a plus! We’re looking for someone who has exceptional customer service skills, works well with our small fast-paced team of phlebotomist, has an eye for detail when reading, and is seeking a full-time position that has opportunity for growth. Continental has been in business for over 50 years and is a private for-profit blood banking company. We service pharmaceutical and research companies all over the world, and our product is used for research and diagnostic testing materials. With two centers, one in Fort Lauderdale and one in Miami, we provide our blood donors with quality customer services.

Requirements

Must fluently read and understand English. Should have advanced english communication competency.
Must have proficient computer skills

Nice To Haves

EMT certification is a plus
May have previously demonstrated exceptional customer service in another work environment
Blood banking phlebotomy experience is a plus.
May have a background and interest in the medical health field
Being bilingual - Spanish and English - a plus

Responsibilities

Perform phlebotomy in accordance to CSG Standard Operating Procedures and FDA guidelines.
Performing Quality Control Procedures in the donor room area.
Verifying a high quality collection of Blood following procedures and avoiding errors.
Taking the blood pressure, pulse, temperature and other vitals of our donors
Asking all FDA-required questions to make sure each donor is eligible and safely processed
Ensuring donors’ hematocrit levels are up to FDA standards
Assigning donors to a specific section of our complex list of products
Answering any questions or concerns blood donors may have during the process
