About The Position

The Phlebotomist/Processor works at Miami Valley Hospital North in Englewood, Ohio, on a full-time evening shift from 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM, with weekend and holiday rotation. The role collects, transports, and processes laboratory specimens. It also involves preparing specimens and requisitions, using computer systems to manage specimen receipt, delivering specimens to testing areas, maintaining equipment, and helping resolve issues related to patient draws and orders. The position requires compliance with regulatory requirements, corporate standards, and departmental policies, while supporting inventory, training, and a safe work environment.

Requirements

High school graduate or equivalent.
Some experience or training in phlebotomy or laboratory science is preferred.
Ability to walk 5–7 miles daily and stand for the entire shift.
Ability to work around biohazard substances and hazardous chemicals.
Adhere to safety, ergonomic, and health policies, including PPE requirements in laboratory or biohazard areas.
Complete required safety training and health evaluations promptly.

Responsibilities
