About The Position
This role involves working closely with all personnel to facilitate the performance of laboratory tests as ordered by the physician. The individual will maintain a pleasant and friendly attitude with patients, answer their questions to the best of their ability, and interact with nursing personnel to complete laboratory requisitions and charting. Additionally, the role includes assisting patients and physicians in acquiring correct information about preparation for testing and scheduling patients for testing.
Requirements
- Requires the ability to read well enough to follow instructions, write legibly, have good communication skills and a moderate degree of manual dexterity
- Must be a registered CPT Phlebotomist or equivalent
- Requires completion of a Medical Assistant training program or a certification in Medical Assisting
- Requires BLS certification
