About The Position

This is a 6-month contract position for a Phlebotomist III - Floater. The role requires flexibility in shift and location, with a primary shift of 7 am - 6 pm EST. The position is located in Rocky Mount, VA 24151. The ideal candidate will be able to provide quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment, work independently with minimal supervision, and possess excellent phlebotomy skills for pediatric and geriatric patients. Flexibility is key, as the role requires availability for weekends, holidays, on-call duties, and overtime based on staffing needs. The candidate must be committed to all company policies and procedures, make decisions based on established procedures, and exercise good judgment. Reliable transportation, a valid driver's license, and a clean driving record are necessary due to travel requirements to multiple locations with minimal notice. The ability to handle multiple priorities in a high-volume setting and demonstrate superior customer focus, open communication, and adaptability is essential. Experience in a Patient Service Center environment and customer service in retail or a service environment are preferred.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Three years of phlebotomy experience, inclusive of pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
  • Phlebotomy certification (required in California, Nevada, and Washington).
  • Reliable transportation, valid driver license, and clean driving record (if applicable).
  • Keyboard/data entry experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Medical assistant or paramedic training.
  • Phlebotomy certification.
  • Minimum 2 years in a Patient Service Center environment.
  • Customer service in a retail or service environment.

Responsibilities
