The Phlebotomist III - Float represents the face of the organization to patients seeking insights into life-defining health decisions. The successful candidate draws quality blood samples from patients and prepares specimens for lab testing while following established practices and procedures. The candidate maintains direct contact with patients, creating an atmosphere of trust and confidence while explaining procedures and drawing blood specimens in a skillful, safe, and accurate manner. The candidate is responsible for providing coverage across multiple locations and roles, ensuring that daily activities of the Patient Service Center, Mobile, Long Term Care, or In-Office Phlebotomy sites are completed accurately and on time. Demonstrating process excellence and sensitivity to confidentiality, the candidate may be assigned to lead daily activities in a doctor's office, patient service center, house call environment, or long-term care setting. Responsibilities include acting as a coach, mentor, instructor, and resource advisor for new employees, providing effective onboarding services to new clients, and serving as a point of contact to site staff. Additionally, the candidate will manage high-complexity, high-volume specialty accounts requiring outstanding phlebotomy skills, effective verbal and written communication, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration across laboratory testing, IT, billing, and logistics.
