Phlebotomist II Site Lead
About The Position
The Phlebotomist II Site Lead represents Quest Diagnostics to patients, drawing quality blood samples and preparing specimens for lab testing according to established practices. This role involves direct patient contact, requiring the ability to create trust and confidence while explaining procedures and performing blood draws skillfully, safely, and accurately. The Site Lead will also direct daily activities at a Patient Service Center (PSC) or In-Office Phlebotomy (IOP) and may lead other Patient Service Representatives (PSRs) on site. The position requires demonstrating Quest Leadership Behaviors, focusing on process excellence, and maintaining sensitivity to patient confidentiality and accuracy. Successful applicants may be assigned to various environments including doctor's offices, patient service centers, house calls, or long-term care facilities.
Requirements
- Proof of COVID-19 vaccination will be required – unvaccinated individuals will be subject to regular testing
Responsibilities
- Draw quality blood samples from patients
- Prepare specimens for lab testing
- Follow established practices and procedures
- Have direct contact with patients
- Create an atmosphere of trust and confidence with patients
- Explain procedures to patients
- Draw blood specimens in a skillful, safe and accurate manner
- Direct daily activity at a Patient Service Center (PSC) or In-Office Phlebotomy (IOP)
- Lead one or more PSR on site
