About The Position

This role represents the company to patients, drawing quality blood samples and preparing specimens for lab testing according to established practices. The Phlebotomist II Site Lead interacts directly with patients, building trust and confidence by explaining procedures and performing blood draws skillfully, safely, and accurately. This position involves directing daily activities at a Patient Service Center (PSC) or In-Office Phlebotomy (IOP) and may include leading one or more Patient Service Representatives (PSR) on site. The successful candidate will demonstrate Quest Leadership Behaviors, focusing on process excellence skills and maintaining sensitivity to confidentiality and accuracy of patient information. Assignments may include doctor's offices, patient service centers, house call environments, or long-term care facilities, as business needs dictate.

Requirements

  • Ability to draw quality blood samples from patients.
  • Ability to prepare specimens for lab testing.
  • Knowledge of established practices and procedures for phlebotomy and specimen preparation.
  • Ability to create an atmosphere of trust and confidence with patients.
  • Skill in explaining procedures to patients.

Responsibilities

  • Draw quality blood samples from patients and prepare specimens for lab testing while following established practices and procedures.
