Phlebotomist II Site Lead
About The Position
This role represents the company to patients at Quest Diagnostics, drawing quality blood samples and preparing specimens for lab testing according to established practices. The Phlebotomist II Site Lead interacts directly with patients, building trust and confidence while explaining procedures and performing blood draws skillfully, safely, and accurately. This position involves directing daily activities at a Patient Service Center (PSC) or In-Office Phlebotomy (IOP) and may include leading one or more Patient Service Representatives (PSR) on site. The successful candidate will demonstrate Quest Leadership Behaviors, focusing on process excellence, confidentiality, and accuracy of patient information. Assignments may include doctor's offices, patient service centers, house call environments, or long-term care facilities, as business needs dictate.
Responsibilities
- Draw quality blood samples from patients and prepare specimens for lab testing following established practices and procedures
- Create an atmosphere of trust and confidence while explaining procedures to patients and drawing blood specimens in a skillful, safe, and accurate manner
- Direct daily activity at a Patient Service Center (PSC) or In-Office Phlebotomy (IOP)
- Lead one or more PSR on site
- Demonstrate Quest Leadership Behaviors while focusing on process excellence skills and sensitivity to confidentiality and accuracy to patient information
