Phlebotomist II Site Lead
About The Position
This role represents the face of Quest Diagnostics to patients, providing insights into their health decisions. The Phlebotomist II Site Lead (PSR II – Site Lead) is responsible for drawing quality blood samples from patients and preparing specimens for lab testing, adhering to established practices and procedures. This position involves direct patient contact, requiring the ability to create an atmosphere of trust and confidence, explain procedures, and draw blood skillfully, safely, and accurately. The PSR II – Site Lead will also direct daily activities at a Patient Service Center (PSC) or In-Office Phlebotomy (IOP) and may lead one or more PSRs on site. The role requires demonstrating Quest Leadership Behaviors, focusing on process excellence, and maintaining sensitivity to patient confidentiality and accurate information. Successful applicants may be assigned to various environments including a doctor's office, a patient service center, a house call setting, or long-term care, as business needs dictate.
Responsibilities
- Draw quality blood samples from patients
- Prepare specimens for lab testing while following established practices and procedures
- Explain procedures to patients
- Draw blood specimens in a skillful, safe and accurate manner
- Direct daily activity at a Patient Service Center (PSC) or In-Office Phlebotomy (IOP)
- Lead one or more PSR on site
- Demonstrate Quest Leadership Behaviors

- Maintain sensitivity to confidentiality and accuracy to patient information
