Phlebotomist/Donor Collections Technician - South Mobile
About The Position
The Blood Bank of Delmarva (BBD) offers experienced phlebotomists and non-experienced individuals who want to join the healthcare field, the training needed to join our Mobile Blood Drive Team! The Donor Collections Technician receives assignments working a varied schedule traveling to different mobile blood drives weekly at differing locations. Each varied schedule is provided 2 weeks in advance. We train individuals that are naturally welcoming and committed to carrying out our mission by providing excellent customer service to our donors. BBD encourages work-life balance for all our staff and look forward to adding individuals who want to be in a healthcare role to the team!
Requirements
- Must have your own reliable vehicle
- Must have a valid Driver’s License
- High School Diploma or equivalent is required
- Minimum of 2 years of face-to-face customer service experience
- Minimum of 1 years of successfully managing multiple tasks in a fast paced working environment
Responsibilities
- Conducts donor interviews in a confidential professional manner to determine donor eligibilities according to BBD standards.
- Initiates whole blood collection/phlebotomy procedures and monitors the donor’s progress, according to BBD collection guidelines.
- Prepares for donor interviews and blood collection by ensuring that interview materials and phlebotomy equipment and supplies are set up and/or operable in keeping with Quality Control standards.
