About The Position

The Philanthropy Major Gift Officer identifies, cultivates, solicits, and stewards gifts of $10,000 or more from individuals in support of the mission of MultiCare Health System. The role works closely with the team and uses development skills and relationship-building abilities to secure gifts for the Foundations and support annual and long-term financial goals.

The position manages a portfolio of major donor accounts, carrying out appropriate cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship activities. It uses Raiser’s Edge to maintain donor plans and activity records in accordance with department procedures and policies.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business, communication, or a related discipline.
• At least five years of professional experience in personal solicitation in fundraising or a similar vocation, such as personal banking or sales.
• Experience with computerized databases for fundraising, subscription, or membership purposes.

Nice To Haves

• Master’s degree preferred.
• Experience with Raiser’s Edge preferred.

Responsibilities
