About The Position
The Philanthropy Major Gifts Officer is a vital role responsible for the identification, cultivation, and stewardship of gifts of $10,000 or more from individuals in support of the mission of MultiCare Health System. In this position, you will work in close team partnership as you apply your development skills and innate capacity for relationship building.
Requirements
- BA/BS in business, communication or related discipline; Master's degree preferred
- Minimum five (5) years professional experience in personal solicitation in fund-raising or like vocation such as personal banking or sales
- Experience with computerized databases for fund-raising, subscription, or membership purposes, Raiser’s Edge preferred
Responsibilities
- Secure major gift-level contributions for the Foundations to meet annual and long-term financial goals
- Manage a complement of major donor accounts with all appropriate cultivation, solicitation and stewardship activities
- Use Raiser’s Edge to maintain effective record keeping of donor plans and activities, adhering to appropriate department procedures and polices
