The Philanthropy Associate reflects the mission, vision, and values of Northwestern Memorial HealthCare (NMHC), adheres to the organization’s Code of Ethics and Corporate Compliance Program, and complies with all relevant policies, procedures, guidelines and all other regulatory and accreditation standards. The Philanthropy Associate performs a critical role on Northwestern Memorial Foundation’s (NMF) fundraising team. They are responsible for working with NMF managers, directors, vice presidents and other NMF team members to administer and coordinate activities and initiatives, completing projects as assigned. NMF raises funds to support the health system’s strategic goals to deliver exceptional care and experience, advance and extend medical science and knowledge and enhance people, culture and resources through: (1) raising planned, principal and major gifts, (2) cultivating and stewarding donors, and (3) fostering a culture of philanthropy at NMHC. The Philanthropy Associate, Individual Giving position is part of an internal program to help early career gift officers hone their skills as major gifts officers. Qualified candidates will be a part of the Individual Giving team’s mid-level fundraising program with a dotted-line to a service-line anchored major gifts officer. Successful fundraisers may have the opportunity to progress over-time onto the major gifts team, contingent on performance, readiness, and organizational need. This position’s portfolio will have a primary focus on transplant services and support other system-wide initiatives as needed.
