About The Position

The Indiana University Foundation (IUF) advances the mission of Indiana University by inspiring philanthropy that fuels student success, pioneering research, and transformational impact across Indiana and beyond. At IUF, we connect donors to the causes they care about most—turning passion into purpose and generosity into lasting impact. The Individual Giving Officer serves as an important bridge between annual giving and major gifts. In this role, you will manage a portfolio of leadership annual giving prospects and donors, cultivate and solicit philanthropic support, steward donor relationships, and qualify individuals with the potential to grow into major gift donors. This is a highly collaborative, donor-facing role with significant travel and the opportunity to represent IU and the IU Foundation nationwide.

  • Reliability, professionalism, and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate closely with Donor Experience Officers, Annual Giving, Prospect Management & Research, and CSU partners to strengthen the donor pipeline.
  • Use data analytics, digital engagement tools, and donor insights to prioritize outreach and track engagement outcomes.
  • Document donor activity in IUF systems to support transparency, accountability, continuity, and collaboration.
