About The Position

LATYS develops intelligent RF propagation technologies that extend, shape, and optimize wireless coverage in challenging environments. Our systems operate at the physical layer to improve signal quality, interference mitigation, and wireless performance without adding network latency or requiring changes to existing infrastructure. Requirements

  • Strong hands-on experience with hardware platforms, experimental systems, or laboratory-based implementation.
  • Experience in at least one area such as FPGA, SDR, embedded systems, RF systems, digital signal processing, real-time systems, or hardware/software integration.
  • Good programming skills in one or more languages such as Python, MATLAB, C/C++, Verilog, VHDL, or similar tools.
  • Ability to troubleshoot practical hardware/software issues and work independently in a lab environment.
  • Strong motivation to conduct PhD-level research with both theoretical and experimental components.
  • Good communication, documentation, and teamwork skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with wireless systems, SDR platforms such as USRP, FPGA programming, or private 5G implementation.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct PhD-level research with a strong focus on hardware implementation and experimental validation.
  • Design, develop, and test hardware-oriented experimental platforms and prototypes.
  • Work with hardware/software integration, system configuration, debugging, and performance evaluation.
  • Use programming, scripting, or hardware design tools for implementation and testing.
  • Analyze experimental results and connect them with research objectives, simulations, and theoretical models.
  • Document technical work and contribute to research publications, reports, and project deliverables.
  • Collaborate with academic and industrial partners on experimental research activities.
