About The Position

This role focuses on customer engagement, operational efficiency within the pharmacy, and personal development. The Pharmacy Typist will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, handling transactions, operating pharmacy systems, maintaining inventory, and ensuring compliance with company policies and legal regulations. The position also requires attending training and completing assigned modules to enhance skills and knowledge.

Requirements

Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
Requires willingness to work flexible schedule, including evenings and weekend hours.

Nice To Haves

Six months of experience in a retail environment.
Prior work experience with Walgreens.

Responsibilities

Engage customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services.
Resolve customer issues and answer questions to ensure a positive customer experience.
Register customer purchases on assigned cash register, collect cash and distribute change.
Process voids, returns, rain checks, refunds, and exchanges as needed.
Recommend items for sale to customers and suggest trade-up and/or companion items.
Assist with OTC products and escort customers to aisles when possible.
Operate pharmacy systems to obtain patient prescription status.
Report prescription errors immediately to the pharmacist on duty and adhere to Company policies and procedures.
Keep counters and shelves clean and well merchandised.
Take inventory and maintain records.
Check in and price merchandise as required or directed.
Implement Company asset protection procedures to identify and minimize profit loss.
Ensure compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products.
Construct and maintain displays, including promotional, seasonal, super structures, and sale merchandise.
Complete resets and revisions as directed.
Assist with exterior and interior maintenance by ensuring clean, neat, orderly store condition and appearance.
Comply with all company policies and procedures; maintain respectful relationships with coworkers.
Complete special assignments and other tasks as assigned.
Attend training and complete PPLs requested by Manager or assigned by corporate.
