About The Position

As a Specialty Pharmacy Technician at Omnicell, you will support a community’s well-being and act as a trusted advisor to patients as part of an organization focused on innovation in medication management. The pharmacy serves the local community and is located at 1547 Ohio Ave Suite A, Anderson, Indiana 46016. It is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., with a one-hour lunch closure. The position offers a set Monday-through-Friday schedule and weekends off.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Active, non-expired license or registration with the Indiana State Board of Pharmacy.
• At least one year of work experience (approximately 2,000 hours) as a pharmacy technician.
• Active Nationally Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification; PTCB or NHA is accepted.

Responsibilities

• Help the pharmacist prepare and dispense medications so patients receive the correct medication and dosage.
• Provide personalized customer service to patients in person and by phone, using active listening and helping patients navigate stressful situations with calm guidance.
• Learn and demonstrate an understanding of specialty diseases, including autoimmune diseases, oncology, Hepatitis C, and HIV, to serve patients effectively.
• Accurately and efficiently enter patient, medication, billing, and sales data into systems.
• Support and help improve the pharmacy and team, while continuing to learn and grow.
